Today we’re going to recap the speakers from Day Two, the amazing sponsors, and review the BIG wisdom we learned on the second day of Be Sage.
Quick note: If you want to join us in 2016, let us know here. (We’ll be sending out a special rate for interested people.)
First and foremost, we want to share with you our AMAZING highlights film from Splendor Films – huge thanks to Jeffery Coombes for producing this for us!
All of these images to follow are perfectly captured by the fabulous Barbie Hull Photography.
We kicked off Day Two by enjoying breakfast in the Grand Ballroom of The Adolphus Hotel, with delicious hand crafted espresso beverages from Rail Cart Espresso. YUM.
Our tables on Day Two were adorned with lovely items – Hello Happens provided these super fun, anti-stress custom coloring books! Ashley & Malone gifted each attendee with this beautiful “Love what you do” print. Esselle hand-painted each of our attendees’ place card holders, and The Left Handed Calligrapher provided the incredible calligraphy on the place cards.
Our first speaker of the Day Two was Vanessa Van Edwards of The Science of People. Her presentation, titled “The Power of Presence”, was so eye-opening! She gave us hands-on techniques for creating better, lasting first impressions. We learned about non-verbal skills like power poses, purposeful gazing, microexpressions….fascinating!
Next up, Ashley Feinstein Gerstley of Knowing Your Worth presented, “How to Get Financial Freedom”. She shared techniques with us on how to plan for retirement, find ways to save for financial freedom, and helped us to understand what we need to think about in order to plan for our financial future. She also mastered the power pose that Vanessa had just taught us. 😉
Ron Dawson from Dare Dreamer Media, Inc. was next up, sharing “How to Use New Media Marketing”. He shared some awesome ideas for ways we can be distributing content – ebooks, email subscriptions, blog posts…challenged us to think outside of what we’re normally doing and think of new media for marketing our small businesses!
Finally, Kelly Marie Thompson of Fleur, shared “How to Grow Your Team to Replicate Your Artistry”. Kelly Marie attended Be Sage our first year in 2014, and we were honored to have her speak this year and so proud of the growth she has achieved in her business! She shared tried and true strategies for how she personally has grown, led and developed her team.
Michelle and I wrapped up the full two days of amazing knowledge that we learned by asking everyone to think about what BIG, Texas-sized things they are walking away from Be Sage with…BIG dreams, BIG goals, BIG wisdom. We’re currently in the process of following up with each attendee to check in on their BIG goal that they set during the conference. It’s been so exciting to see so many people already achieving their BIG goals they came up with!
Three cheers to ALL of our Be Sage grads! We can’t wait until 2016!
